dedicated readers who check up on updates, no matter what the constraints are.
What we do not really notice sometimes is what effect do celeb gossip sites
have on the kids of these celebrities? It must surely be taxing to have tons of
entertainment news sections talking about their parents. The situation is really
difficult for kids whose parents have broken up. They must be feeling a
mind-numbing experience of all that is written about people who are close to
them. Being of an impressionable mind and age, kids are more likely to believe
whatever they read.
Celeb
kids don't always know that many celebrity gossip sites publishes half-baked
stories to meet certain deadlines and sometimes, just because they do not have
anything better to report. This trend among celeb gossip writers is the most
damaging. This is detrimental to the credibility of the celeb gossip sites. The
kids of the celebrities they tear apart in their entertainment news sections
are the ones who bear the brunt. It is really sad that kids have to read a lot
of drivel about their parents, the hook-ups and linkages that these writers
cook up where they are non-existent. It is not a very enviable situation to be
in.
The celebs
kids themselves are not out of harm's reach. They have the paparazzi glaring
down their throats each time they make a move out. They can't hang around with
their friends or head for the video-game parlor. They miss out on a normal
childhood because they happen to be celeb kids. They have celebrity gossip
reporters hounding them for a snap as they go about their lives like any other
kid would like to. They are denied the full freedom that childhood brings with
it. They may be growing up in the lap of luxury but they are missing out on a
lot, things which money can't buy.
Celeb
kids have been known to have problems in schools because of what is being
written about their parents on celebrity gossip magazines. A recent example
would be the presence of the paparazzi in front of the school where Tiger
Woods' daughter studies. The posse of reporters positioned at the gate of the
school was waiting for Tiger or his wife Elin to show up. It was a crisis
situation for the entertainment news sections because both of them were not
making a public appearance. A snap of either would cost millions. In the rush
of economics and profit, they laid siege to a school, making things
inconvenient for the kids as well as for guardians.
This
is one aspect that we must all look at with some consideration. It is okay to
look for updates and you can't really expect people to forgo their habit of
reading entertainment news columns. But maybe we need to be responsible when it
comes to talking about celebrities who have kids. After all, they are not part
of this celebrity circus!
